How to report an issue

Email hello@wattcostguide.com with the page URL, the value or statement that appears incorrect, the expected correction, and a supporting source when available. For a calculator issue, include the watts, hours, electricity rate, and result you received.

How reports are reviewed

We reproduce calculation reports using the displayed formula, then compare factual reports with appliance labels, manuals, manufacturer specifications, government energy resources, or other authoritative material. A single model may not justify changing a range intended to cover a broader appliance category.

Minor and material corrections

Spelling, formatting, and broken-link repairs may be made without a correction notice when they do not change meaning. A material correction changes a calculation, default assumption, wattage range, source attribution, or conclusion that could affect a reader's estimate.

How updates are documented

When a calculator receives a substantive review, its independent last-reviewed date is updated. Material corrections that require additional context will be noted on the affected page or documented here. There are currently no published material correction notices.
